There are several anchorages offering interesting things to visit ashore. Anchor in Promise Bay t
o enjoy a stroll along Hazards Beach
or follow the Isthmus track
to Wineglass Bay.
The 2km, 1 hour return section follows the trail along the isthmus via a flat, occasionally duckboarded track. A National Parks Pass is required to visit the Freycinet National Park.
Anchor in Crocketts Bay at Schouten Island and walk to the abandoned mine shaft behind the hut or for the more energetic take the 2 hour return climb up Bear Hill which gives walkers a magnificent view of the entire Freycinet Peninsula.
