About this event

Past Commodore Scott Poulter wants to share his and your knowledge and experience using weather apps. Bring your phones, ipads and laptops and get to share the group's knowledge.

An Interactive presentation and workshop exploring what’s available, how to find it, how to use it, the limitations and opportunities. We will discuss the following data sources, models and interfaces and how they may best be used to support your coastal passage planning.

WEATHER PATTERNS: TAS, SA, VIC, NSW & Qld
DATA: Coastal Observations, Radar, Satellite, Sea Temperatures & Currents.
MODELS: ECMWF, GFS, ACCESS, ICON, PWE, PWG.
INTERFACES: Windy, PredictWind, PocketGrib, BOM, MetEye, Marine Wind Forecast Maps - Access, Interactive Weather & Wave Forecast Maps, Coastal Forecasts.
