Welcome one and all to a Xmas "BYO" BBQ from 1pm till 5pm at HUT 1 in the Dru Point Bicentennial Reserve in MargateIf you decide to arrive in NW Bay by boat on that day please ensure that when anchoring you leave plenty of space for other users of the boat ramp. It is quite some distance from the boat ramp to Hut 1 especially if you‘re carrying lots of items so you can phone Philip Bragg on: 0413105818
or
Barbara Weetman on:
0413531269
and we will arrange for someone to drive there to collect you and bring you to Hut 1.

We will have some musos attending but would like to encourage others who play an instrument to bring it along and jam together. Brian Parkinson is a CYCT member but the others are not. Those of you who know Brian will recognise his formidable musical talent. You‘re all in for a treat!

Don‘t forget to bring your own sunscreen and insect repellent.
Hats and umbrellas may also be required if the weather lets us down.

Port Esperance enjoys many safe anchorages with the added bonus of a fun dinghy ride up the Esperance River. The Cruise Contact will advise the activities for the weekend. It will likely include a BBQ ashore near the boat ramp on the Rabbit Island side. Due to the unfortunate devastating fire of the PESC house, we won’t be able to enjoy their usual Friday night hospitality. However, there will be plenty of opportunity for a social gathering on the beach for drinks and nibbles.

This is an event that the club ‘boat-less’ members can easily attend by road. This cruise will take you well into the Huon River, arriving at Franklin on Saturday 12th for the traditional dinner at the Living Boat Trust premises. On Sunday 13th we will head to Port Cygnet for a dinner at the Port Cygnet Cannery. Being mid-winter, the club has elected to schedule the event in Port Cygnet as members are able to use the PCSC floating dock for a safer transition to shore.

Please RSVP on the website to enable catering and seating arrangements for: A) Saturday 12th dinner at the Living Boat Trust—Check website nearer the day for prices. B) Sunday 13th dining at the Port Cygnet Cannery.

Accommodation is available in and around the town of Cygnet, so if you can’t make it by boat, or manage to persuade a friend to provide a bunk aboard, then the shore base may be an alternative.
