Vanuatu is a draw card for many cruisers wanting to complete an ocean passage with the excitement of experiencing a different culture. Vanuatu is made up of 86 islands and even though we sailed there several times there are many islands we did not visit. The national language is Bislama, a form of pigeon English but the islands were dual governed by England and France before independence. Some villages remain speaking only French but English is becoming more popular. This presentation covers islands we visited from the South to North in the chain.

During the annual engine servicing a tiny leak was found in the port engine water cooling pump. So it is in pieces and spare parts are, as to be expected, not here yet. I‘ll try another time when we are all back together again.
If the weather allows - join Crown Venture on a cruise to Partridge Island. She‘s not been there before and her skipper is hoping for a day or two of settled weather to stay and explore the island.

Come and learn about your Marine Electronics: how to check if they are working properly, how to trouble shoot a problem, how to fix it totally or enough to get you safely home.
The evening will be a mixture of YouTube presentations and hands on practical.

GINNY GERLACH is a world cruiser, she established her business, Cruisability, to teach couples how to prepare for extended ocean journeys. Ginny now lives in Tasmania and is the founder of Flying - Friday Ladies Yachting and Water Women now part of PCSC.
Ginny will give a presentation on anchoring providing practical examples with check lists of things to watch out for including dragging.
